Bottom Line:

If maximum battery life and endurance performance are your priorities, the Enduro 4 is one of Garmin's most capable outdoor watches. If you want a more general-purpose premium Garmin smartwatch, the fēnix lineup may be a better fit.

Design and Build

The Enduro 4 keeps a 51mm case but weighs just 66 grams. It uses a titanium bezel, fiber-reinforced polymer case, and scratch-resistant Power Sapphire lens. Garmin also adds a new ComfortFit Fabric Band with QuickFit functionality, designed to stay comfortable and moisture-wicking during long activities. The watch is rated to 10 ATM and includes a built-in LED flashlight with both white and red light.

Display

The Enduro 4 uses a 1.4-inch sunlight-visible MIP display with a Power Sapphire solar lens. Garmin continues to use this type of display because it is well suited to outdoor visibility and helps support the watch's extremely long battery life.

Battery Life

Battery life is the biggest reason to consider the Enduro 4. Garmin rates it for up to 90 days in smartwatch mode with solar charging and up to 320 hours in activity mode with solar charging under Garmin's specified conditions. New comprehensive power modes also let you choose between maximum tracking accuracy and maximum battery life depending on the activity.

Performance and New Features

The Enduro 4 adds several new endurance-focused tools. Grade-adjusted pace helps runners manage effort on hills, while grade-adjusted rolling pace gives a real-time view of pace across changing terrain. Garmin has also added Stamina Zones and a Stamina Curve to help users understand how their endurance is changing during an activity.

Maps and Navigation

Navigation gets a useful hardware and software upgrade. Enduro 4 has 50% more RAM than the previous generation, while its updated map engine provides 30% faster map panning and a smoother map experience. The new Perspective View also makes it easier to see terrain around your route while navigating.

Fitness and Outdoor Features

The Enduro 4 supports more than 100 activity profiles and adds improved tools for endurance and outdoor training. Enhanced rowing features provide additional training information, while expanded rucking features allow users to adjust pack weight and set activity targets. Garmin Epic is another new feature that lets you combine activities from a longer adventure into one story in Garmin Connect.

Smart Features and Storage

Enduro 4 includes 64GB of storage, giving you more space for maps, music, and other onboard data. It also supports Garmin's connected features, Garmin Pay, music, Bluetooth, ANT+, and Wi-Fi. The watch also includes a speaker and microphone, adding more flexibility to its connected features.

Our Verdict

The Garmin Enduro 4 is a strong upgrade for endurance-focused users. Its extreme battery life, new stamina tools, faster maps, larger storage, and lightweight design make it especially appealing for multiday adventures and long-distance training.
